Basketball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Extends Winning Streak to Three

Benjamin Franklin put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Safford Bulldogs by a score of 75-65. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Benjamin Franklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Talan Speir, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Speir has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bennett Christensen, who shot 59% from the field to rack up 23 points.

Benjamin Franklin's record now sits at 3-0. As for Safford, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Benjamin Franklin will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Rocky Mountain at 1:00 p.m. As for Safford, they will head out on the road to square off against Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
