Basketball Recap: Barker Starts Season with Win Against Webber + How To Watch

Barker took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They strolled past the Webber Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Barker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Taliaferro led the charge by shooting 4-for-5 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Taliaferro a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Jackson Prynn was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six assists and five boards.

Webber's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Barker has already played their next game, a 45-38 defeat against Attica on the 3rd. As for Webber, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on January 28, 2026.
