Softball Recap: Washington-Marion Takes a Loss

Washington-Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Eunice Bobcats, falling 18-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on March 6th.

Washington-Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lia Thomas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Eunice, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington-Marion is set to face off against their familiar foe LaGrange at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eunice will challenge rival DeRidder at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
