Basketball Game Preview: Schurz Bulldogs vs. Von Steuben Panthers

The Schurz Bulldogs will square off against the Von Steuben Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Schurz has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Schurz took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They had just enough and edged Chicago Academy out 40-37. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Von Steuben posted their biggest victory since January 18, 2024 on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-14 win over Corliss.

Von Steuben's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Schurz, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Schurz was dealt a bruising 61-33 defeat at the hands of Von Steuben in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Schurz avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
