North Johnston has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Princeton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Johnston proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 15) but on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Eastern Wayne 3-1.

Meanwhile, Princeton scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They never let Beddingfield onto the board and left with a 16-0 win.

Mary Rachel Uzzell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Uzzell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with five RBI, a run, and a double.

In other batting news, Kaydon Roberson was incredible, going 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Lilly Holmes, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.

North Johnston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs per game. As for Princeton, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

North Johnston came out on top in a nail-biter against Princeton in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 8-7. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Princeton's Averie Daughtry, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Now that she won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for North Johnston to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
