Weatherford is a perfect 3-0 against Mansfield since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Kangaroos will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Weatherford is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Boswell on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Mansfield got themselves on the board against North Crowley on Tuesday, but North Crowley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Mansfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Weatherford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9.

Weatherford took their victory against Mansfield when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 20-10 score. Will the Kangaroos repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
