Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Takes a Loss

Belvidere North was the 57-54 winner over Belvidere when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Belvidere North Blue Thunder lost 59-38 to the Belvidere Bucs on Saturday. The Blue Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Pierson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Belvidere, going 13-for-22 to rack up 33 points and five steals. The contest was Pierson's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Arianna Labeau, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Belvidere North's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Belvidere, their win bumped their record up to 17-14.

Belvidere North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belvidere, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-28 loss against Dixon on the 17th.
