Baseball Recap: Centennial Wins Going Away Against Franklin

Centennial lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Franklin, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. Centennial put the hurt on Franklin with a sharp 18-4 victory on Tuesday. That looming 18-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Connor Gray looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Centennial got a massive performance out of Eli Wells, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Wells a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Dennis, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against Franklin: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
