Volleyball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline lost against Lakeside back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Lions.

Emma Gutke paced Skyline's offense, picking up ten kills. Gutke got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 13 assists. Hawryluk also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Carly Maginnis, each putting up two.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-3. As for Lakeside, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Skyline has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Issaquah on the 25th. As for Lakeside, they will host Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
