Softball Recap: Kenmore East Takes a Loss

Kenmore East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lumberjacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

Kenmore East's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Tonawanda, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenmore East will venture away from home to challenge Maryvale at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Flyers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.13 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Tonawanda, they are taking a road trip to square off against Williamsville North at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
