It was a good run, but Edison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corona del Mar Sea Kings. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sea Kings earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Corona del Mar, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.

Coming up, Edison will take on Huntington Beach at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Oilers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Corona del Mar, they will square off against Capistrano Valley Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
