Softball Recap: Lakeland Beats Clinton for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Lakeland let Clinton stack six runs on them in the fifth inning on Saturday but luckily Lakeland prevailed anyway. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over the Redwolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 26th.

Lakeland let Izzy Bedini and Alyssa Goldman run wild. Bedini went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI, while Goldman went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most runs Bedini has posted over her last 12 contests. Another player making a difference was Piper Huff, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Lakeland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
