Softball Game Preview: Marion Local Flyers vs. Memorial Roughriders

Marion Local is 0-4 against Memorial since April of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Flyers will take on the Roughriders at 11:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Marion Local is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Parkway.

Defiance hit Memorial with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Roughriders lost 10-4 to the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Roughriders have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Memorial's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3. As for Marion Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
