Soccer Recap: Wayne Valley Takes a Loss

Wayne Valley and Ramapo squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Wayne Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Wayne Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Ramapo are ranked 20th).

Wayne Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Ramapo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Wayne Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ramapo, they will face off against Roxbury on Saturday.
