Biggs entered their tilt with Quincy on Friday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dennis Dewhurst made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Collin Beck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ayden Owen, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Biggs' record now sits at 15-2. As for Quincy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Biggs beat the Trojans by a score of 5-3 later that day.
