Preview: Superior vs. Centura
On Friday Centura take on Superior at 7:00 PM. Centura is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, Centura came up short against Doniphan-Trumbull, falling 7-21. Centura got a solid performance out of junior Tyler Ruhl, who rushed for 88 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. In fact, with 18 tackles Ruhl was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Superior lost to Grand Island Central Catholic, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 7-45.
The losses dropped Centura to 1-1 and Superior 0-2. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous match, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
