Baseball Recap: Heavener Triumphs

Heavener was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Blair Broncos. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 4-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Brently Hash, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Hagen Ritter was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Heavener's record now sits at 2-7. As for Blair, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heavener will host Metro Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Blair, they will welcome Wellston at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
