Baseball Recap: Moriarty Pintos vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils
Moriarty won the last time they faced Espanola Valley, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Moriarty Pintos put the hurt on the Espanola Valley Sundevils with a sharp 8-1 win.
Raiden Scribner was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Moriarty now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Espanola Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moriarty will face off against Los Alamos at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Los Alamos is coming into the matchup with eight straight victories at home, so Moriarty will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Espanola Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Taos at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
