Herron had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Achaeans, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Luke Cherry and Curtis Morris made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Cherry pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Morris pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Cherry has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Cherry earned one RBI, three runs, and four stolen bases, while Morris went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave Cherry a new career-high.

In other batting news, Herron let Abraham Cherry and Elon Sharp run wild. Cherry went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Sharp went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Cherry has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Colvin Meek, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Herron's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Providence Cristo Rey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
