Softball Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

Saranac hit Williamston with a eight-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hornets lost 12-5 to the Redskins. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hornets have suffered since April 9th.

Williamston saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Yadav, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Shea O'Neil was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Williamston's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Saranac, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Looking ahead, Williamston will take on Portland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Saranac, they will face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
