Vance County's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Warren County Eagles with a sharp 46-26 victory. The Vipers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Vance County was led to victory by Da'Shunti Hester and Destiny Timberlake. Hester posted 14 points, while Timberlake had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Harris, who earned seven points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amari Freeman, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Vance County's record now sits at 12-4. As for Warren County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vance County will challenge South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warren County, they will take on North Edgecombe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Edgecombe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Warren County likes a good challenge.
