Basketball Game Preview: McKinney North Bulldogs vs. Wylie Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the McKinney North Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Wylie Pirates at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinney North is looking for their season's first win.

On Monday, McKinney North didn't have quite enough to beat Rock Hill and fell 53-50. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Hawks 15-11 in the first quarter.

McKinney North's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaeler Impelman, who posted 19 points, and Preston Spolar, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 14 points. Spolar has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 46% every time he's hit the court this season. Ethan Ewans was another key player, putting up five points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Wylie made easy work of Clear Falls on Friday and carried off a 68-42 victory.

Wylie now has a winning record of 4-3. As for McKinney North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

McKinney North strolled past Wylie in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 by a score of 65-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
