Recap: Comer Catamounts vs. Butler Lynx
The Comer Catamounts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 76-54 defeat at the hands of Butler. Comer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lynx apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Danny Bennett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Butler, scoring 35 points. Bennett continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwayne Haliburton, who scored 20 points.
Comer has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Butler, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.
Comer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Butler won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bulls at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
