Basketball Recap: Prentice Beats Rib Lake for Their Fourth Straight Win

Prentice proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 42) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Rib Lake Redmen 44-41. The 44-point effort marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Prentice, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Rib Lake, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prentice will welcome Marathon at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Marathon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Prentice likes a good challenge. As for Rib Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Assumption at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
