Softball Game Preview: Medical Lake Cardinals vs. Lakeside Eagles

For the second straight game, Medical Lake will face off against Lakeside. The Cardinals will welcome the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Medical Lake knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Medical Lake didn't have quite enough to beat Lakeside and fell 13-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (ten), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Gabby Ornelas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Layla Armes, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Medical Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lakeside, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.
