Basketball Recap: Calumet Victorious

Calumet hadn't done well against Lookeba-Sickles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chieftains walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Panthers. For the Chieftains, this counts as revenge for the 62-29 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Calumet has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 56.5 points this season. As for Lookeba-Sickles, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Coming up, Calumet will take on Lomega at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chieftains will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lookeba-Sickles, they will head out to face off against Cordell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
