Baseball Game Preview: Murrieta Mesa Rams vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Murrieta Mesa will face off against Great Oak. The Rams will be playing at home against the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Murrieta Mesa turned things around against Great Oak on Monday. They never let the Wolfpack get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted against the Wolfpack since March 3, 2022.

Not much got past Tanner Blackmon, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Great Oak off the board. Blackmon also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Murrieta Mesa is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Murrieta Mesa's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most hits Wagner has posted since back in April.

Murrieta Mesa's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Great Oak, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15.
