Laton and Kings Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Crusaders at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Laton's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last ten games.

Laton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Alpaugh just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Buffalos by a score of 25-24.

Emily Rojas stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emmily Mares, who got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Legacy Christian Academy hit Kings Christian with a six-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders came up short against the Lions, falling 13-3.

Laton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Kings Christian, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Laton's way against Kings Christian in their previous meeting on April 7th, as Laton made off with a 29-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
