Boca Ciega's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Gibbs Gladiators 12-0. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jackson Layner was a standout: he scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Kemon Ford was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.

Boca Ciega's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Gibbs, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Boca Ciega has already played their next game, an 8-6 loss against Lakewood on the 26th. As for Gibbs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-3 victory against Southeast on the 28th.
