It was a good run, but Sheldon unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 72-71 to the Gresham Gophers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (61), the Irish still had to take the loss.

Sheldon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gerrit Cupp, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Morrow, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 20 points.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Gresham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Sheldon will take on Ridgeview in a holiday battle at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Gresham and Westview will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
