Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sayre). Their defense stepped up to hand the Model Patriots an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Sayre, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Sayre has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those six contests. As for Model, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Sayre will welcome Henry Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Model, they will face off against Corbin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Model will be up against Corbin's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.06 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
