Basketball Recap: Hempfield Takes a Loss

Hempfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 58-45 to the Lebanon Cedars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-40 back in January.

Hempfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Hempfield and Lebanon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Hempfield will challenge Chambersburg at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday down 468 places (490 vs. 22). Meanwhile, Lebanon (ranked 448th) will meet Manheim Township (ranked 217th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
