Basketball Recap: Grady Crandall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Highland over Lone Peak

Highland saw some tournament action on Thursday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-46 defeat to the Lone Peak Knights. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highland lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Grady Crandall, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Reber, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lone Peak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-58 defeat against Destiny Christian Academy on the 3rd. Lone Peak has also already played their next contest, a 79-60 victory against Smoky Hill on the 4th.
