Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alexandria). They breezed by the West Monroe Rebels to the tune of 89-54 on Friday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jordyn Johnson, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 42 points and five boards. Those 42 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshawn Duncan, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Alexandria pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for West Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Alexandria has already played their next matchup, a 49-48 loss against Dunham on the 25th. As for West Monroe, they will welcome Ouachita Parish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ouachita Parish will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Monroe surely won't give up without a fight.
