Football Recap: Wolfe City Piles Up the Points Against Nocona + How To Watch

Wolfe City won the last time they faced Nocona and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolves breezed past the Indians to the tune of 64-23.

Wolfe City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hd Davis led the charge by rushing for 139 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries. Davis' rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 16th straight game with at least 110 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Casen Pessel, who picked up 149 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Wolfe City's run defense was locked in: Nocona could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The Wolves didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.4.

Wolfe City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3. As for Nocona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Wolfe City and Nocona will both be playing Trenton the next time they take the field. The Wolves will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
