Basketball Recap: Schulenburg Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Flatonia the last time they met, Schulenburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Schulenburg Shorthorns walked away with a 52-40 win over the Flatonia Bulldogs on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Shorthorns who have now won four contests in a row.

Schulenburg has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Flatonia, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.

The future could be bright for both Schulenburg and Flatonia: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Schulenburg will look to extend Louise's 16-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Flatonia will try to hand Bloomington their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
