Basketball Recap: Christ the King Takes a Loss

Christ the King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-31 loss at the hands of the Westmont Sentinels. If the Gladiators were looking for revenge after losing 63-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Payeton Pickens, who posted 38 points and six steals for Westmont. With that strong performance, Pickens is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Hoover, who had 17 points.

Christ the King's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Westmont, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Christ the King has already played their next game (against Our Lady of Tepeyac), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westmont has already played their next matchup, a 66-22 win against Walther Christian Academy on the 16th.
