Football Recap: Swartz Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Swartz Creek's offense. They took a blow against the Holt Rams on Friday, falling 41-0. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Holt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Melville out in front who rushed for 76 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also threw for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Melville a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two). Ladon Hatcher was another key back, rushing for 109 yards and one score.

Swartz Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Holt, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Swartz Creek will be playing at home against Holly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Dragons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Holt, they will take on Carman-Ainsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
