            Football Recap: Marshwood Hawks vs. Noble Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Marshwood faced Noble in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hawks took  a  35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Hawks lost against the Knights in their previous head to head  back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  35-6 score last time.
 Noble's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Mark Lapointe Lll, who threw for 177 yards and three  TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 95 yards and one  touchdown. Those  95  rushing yards gave  Lapointe Lll a new career-high. Noble's leading receiver  Aiden Keefe was  Lapointe Lll's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.

With the  defeat, Marshwood broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Noble, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Marshwood will welcome Falmouth  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Navigators' defense has only allowed 13.2  points per game  this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Noble, they will head out to  take on Sanford  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
