Softball Recap: Upland Finds Home Field Redemption Against West Covina

There's no place like home for Upland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the West Covina Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders/Scots, who have now won three matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Upland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. West Covina now has a losing record of 3-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upland will venture away from home to challenge Beaumont at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Covina, they will head out to take on Costa Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. West Covina is facing Costa Mesa at the right time seeing as Costa Mesa is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
