Volleyball Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Starts Season with Win Against Travis

Texas School for the Deaf gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Travis Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

One reason for the win was Texas School for the Deaf's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-16.

Texas School for the Deaf can attribute much of their success to Ava Beese, who had 12 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Beese has posted since back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Texas School for the Deaf will be taking part in a tournament against McCallum at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Travis, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against San Marcos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
