Baseball Game Preview: Cass Tech Technicians vs. University Liggett Knights

The Cass Tech Technicians will head out on the road to challenge the University Liggett Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cass Tech's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so University Liggett's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cass Tech will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Western International, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Technicians came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 6-1 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Juan Torres, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Meanwhile, University Liggett didn't have quite enough to beat Grosse Pointe South on Tuesday and fell 8-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cass Tech's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 40-11. As for University Liggett, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11-1.
