Recap: Cary Imps vs. Apex Friendship Patriots
The Cary Imps were the 21-13 winner over the Apex Friendship Patriots when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Cary had to suffer through a rough 37-6 loss at the hands of Apex Friendship. While losing is never fun, Cary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Apex Friendship is ranked 93rd).
Will Vetter threw for 118 yards and a touchdown. Luke Wolfram was his top target, throwing for no yards on no of no attempts.
Cary's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Apex Friendship has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary will take on Panther Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Apex Friendship, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middle Creek is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
