Basketball Recap: Harding Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Saturday, the Harding Raiders beat the Trinity Trojans 64-52. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Trojans are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost, don't look at Jordan Campbell. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 10 en route to 18 points along with five boards and three steals. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Hughes, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Harding and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Trinity, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Harding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-40 win against Howland on the 7th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-32 victory against Beachwood on the 7th.
