Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Charter Academy lost against Legacy Charter back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ducks came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-3. The Ducks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cornerstone Charter Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Rodda, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Rodda's first of the season.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Legacy Charter, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter Academy will head out to face off against Master's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ducks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Legacy Charter, they are taking a road trip to take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
