Softball Recap: Janesville Parker Wins Going Away Against Janesville Craig

There's no place like home for Janesville Parker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Janesville Craig Cougars by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. The game marked the Vikings' most dominant win of the season.

Lilly Keller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Delaney King was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

Janesville Parker hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Janesville Craig struck out eight times.

Janesville Parker's record is now 8-12. As for Janesville Craig, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Janesville Parker will welcome Wilmot at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Janesville Craig, they will be playing at home against Vel Phillips Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
