Basketball Game Preview: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Winnebago Indians

The Kewanee Boilermakers will square off against the Winnebago Indians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kewanee saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forreston.

Meanwhile, Winnebago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of Dakota. While losing is never fun, Winnebago can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Dakota is ranked 88th).

Kewanee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Winnebago, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Things could have been worse for Kewanee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-36 loss to Winnebago when the teams last played back in March of 2016. Can Kewanee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
