Recap: Lake Region Thunder vs. Ridge Community Bolts
Even though the Lake Region Thunder have not done well against the Ridge Community Bolts recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lake Region walked away with a 58-45 victory over Ridge Community. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lake Region.
Dwayne Lattimore was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devan Booker, who scored 11 points.
Eddy Hyppolite jr. and Siled Morris certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Hyppolite jr. scored 15 points along with two steals, while Morris scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season.
Lake Region now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Ridge Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region will take on Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davenport is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Ridge Community, Ridge Community and Kathleen will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kathleen has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
