Soccer Preview: Brainerd and Willmar Square Off

The Brainerd Warriors will challenge the Willmar Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Brainerd is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against St. Michael-Albertville on Friday. The Warriors came up short against the Knights, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Willmar was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Detroit Lakes could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Brainerd has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 2-3 record this season. With that draw, Willmar's record moves to 0-2-1.
