Volleyball Recap: Pamlico Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Pamlico Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gramercy Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Pamlico Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Gramercy Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 26-28, 23-25, 15-5.

Pamlico Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Gramercy Christian, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Coincidentally, Pamlico Christian Academy and Gramercy Christian will both be playing Jacksonville Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Conquerors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mariners will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
